creamy garlic alfredo sauce
Besides pasta, this sauce is great on steamed veggies, a base for white pizza, and a wonderful seafood topper. Then again, I'm all for eating it with a loaf of warm Italian bread like you would fondue. This sauce will make you famous.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic, up to 2 teaspoons
- 2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan or romano cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- - salt to taste
How To Make creamy garlic alfredo sauce

Step 1In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat-do not brown it or burn it.

Step 2Add cream cheese whisking until melted and smooth.

Step 3Whisk in the heavy cream.

Step 4Whisk in the 1 teaspoon granulated garlic and black pepper.

Step 5Reduce heat to medium low, you want it to simmer gently, stirring often until sauce thickens, around 25 minutes.

Step 6Remove from heat, stir in cheese.

Step 7Now taste. Add salt if needed. I usually add more pepper and granulated garlic.

Step 8Serve.
