Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 c
    whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 4
    hard boiled eggs, chopped

How to Make Chopped Egg Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat
  2. Stir in flour increasing heat until mixture bubbles gently
  3. Cook 2 minutes
  4. Remove pan from heat, add milk and stir, return to heat stirring constantly
  5. Stir until mixture comes to a boil
  6. Reduce heat to medium, stirring constantly adding more milk if mixture becomes too thick
  7. Season with salt and pepper, add eggs and mix.
