You can leave out the hot sauce if you would rather not have any heat to the sauce. Or replace it with 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper. The sauce should thicken a little as it simmers. The flavors blend better together if it simmers for at least 10-15 minutes.

1/2 tsp
dijon mustard
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
onion powder
1/4 tsp
hot sauce
1/2 tsp
table salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper

How to Make Barbecue Sauce


  • 1Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk to remove clumps.
  • 2Heat over medium until bubbling, then reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Whisk periodically to ensure it's not burning or sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • 3Serve and enjoy!
