I needed to make ribs and had no BBQ sauce so I decided to make my own. The ribs turned out great.

Ingredients

  • BBQ SAUCE

  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    red wine
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    hot sauce
  • 2/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    mustard, ground
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    crushed red peppers
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    mexican seasoning (optional)

How to Make Junia's BBQ Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Put all ingredients in sauce pan and stir on low heat for about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Pour in a jar, brush on grilled meat or serve immediately with diner.
  3. Enjoy!
