1 1/2 cdiced onions
1 1/2 cwhiskey
1 1/2 cbeef stock or broth
1/2 tspblack pepper
1 1/2 cheavy cream
How to Make WHISKEY CREAM SAUCE
- Cook the onions in 9 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat for a few minutes. When the onions are brown, turn off the burner temporarily so you won't ignite your kitchen.
- Pour in the whiskey. As soon as it evaporates, turn the burner on medium-high heat and pour in the beef stock. Add salt and pepper, then allow the mixture to bubble and reduce by half.
- Whisk in the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter, then reduce the heat to low. Whisk in 1 1/2 cups cream. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken about 20 minutes or to your preference. Serve with beef, baby!
