never fail country gravy
When my daughters were learning to cook, they had trouble making gravy. So, I came up with a sure-fire way that couldn't fail. They've been making it this way ever since. Hope this helps some of the inexperienced cooks out there, just starting out.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
How To Make never fail country gravy

Step 1Heat the bacon drippings in hot skillet, on medium heat.

Step 2In a pint jar, combine flour, salt and pepper.

Step 3Add cold milk or half & half to flour mixture in the jar. Pour contents in to skillet, whisking till gravy thickens to desired consistency.
