Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups broth (add water or canned broth to broth from cooked meat)
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch

How To Make basic gravy

  • Step 1
    Heat broth to almost boiling.
  • Step 2
    Remove 1/2 cup of broth and add 1/2 cup water. Stir into flour/cornstarch mixture. Blend until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Through a small strainer to remove any lumps, pour mix back into broth, stirring constantly.
  • Step 4
    Cook and stir until thick.
