Great in crepes, angel food cake, pound cake or your favorite icecream.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups strawberries, cored and quarted or sliced
  • 2 tablespoons grand marnier, or triple sec
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons orange or lemon zest

How To Make macerated strawberries

  • Step 1
    Place the strawberries in a glass or ceramic pan, or a plastic container. Pour Grand Marnier over berries, cover with sugar, stir in zest. Leave for 30 minutes at room temperature. If your not going to use them right away cover tightly and refrigerate.
  • Step 2
    These can be used as a dessert sauce.
