Ingredients

  • 12 medium
    granny smith apples
  • 5
    braeburn or honeycrisp apples
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 dash(es)
    nutmeg

How to Make Apple Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Peel, core, and cube apples. Put in large pot. Cook over medium high heat, stir often.
  2. When apples are soft, remove from heat and mash with a potato masher. Return to heat, add rest of ingredients and cook for 30 minutes on low.
  3. Serve hot, store leftovers in fridge.
