Red salad dressings have taken a back seat in recent years. Bleu Cheese, Honey Mustard, Viniagrette, name it...are highly more popular. I happen to really like a good tomato based salad dressing. Make up a batch of mine, and I think you will like a jar of this in the fridge on a regular basis. I particularly love this on a red leaf lettuce. I'm a beet lover, so that is good too. I think slivered onion is essential. To top off the flavors,.....roasted sunflower seeds are terrific. This is a very versatile salad dressing. I have some in the fridge now....ready to go!

    cooking oil
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/3 c
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    onion flakes, dehydrated
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika or smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper

How to Make Garrison's Red Salad Dressing


  1. Place all ingredients in a jar and shake to blend well. Keep in fridge.
