Years ago, I found this on the back of a Pepperidge Farm Crouton box. They called for anchovies that you ground into a paste; I opted for store bought anchovy paste.

Ingredients
- 1 - romaine lettuce head, washed and torn
- 1/2 tube anchovy paste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup egg substitute
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- - parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- - croutons
How To Make caesar salad

Step 1Wash and spin romaine ahead of time and crisp in the refrigerator.

Step 2Mix garlic, pepper, lemon juice, egg substitute, anchovy paste and olive oil.

Step 3Pour dressing over Romaine, sprinkle Parmesan and croutons and toss well.
