I love slaw. My family loves slaw. I have, at minimum, eight different variations that are all favorites at my house. This one is a twist on a recipe used at a local BBQ place we enjoy. Hope you enjoy it, too.

  • 1 16-oz pkg
    coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    white vinegar
  • 1 c
    half and half
  • 1 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    horseradish sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • to taste
    salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion flakes (or 1/4 c. finely diced, fresh)

How to Make Beth's Sweet and Tangy Coleslaw


  1. Combine vinegar and half and half in large jar. Allow to sit 10 minutes.
  2. Add all other ingredients except coke slaw mix to jar. Shake until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
  3. Pour chilled dressing over slaw mix and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight. Stir well before serving.
