mayfield's french onion party dip
Mayfield's is a local dairy in the Knoxville, Tennessee area, and pretty-well-represented across the state. Their French Onion Party Dip is to die for, and extremely difficult to replicate. I cannot remember a party or holiday get-together where we did NOT serve Ruffles and Mayfield's dip, during all my growing up years. When my daughter moved to Indiana, guess what? NO Mayfield's Dairy! So she learned to replicate it - and this recipe tastes so much like the original you could put it in a Mayfield's container and get away with it. Thank you, Anita!

How To Make mayfield's french onion party dip
-
Step 1Be sure to use Hidden Valley DIP mix, Ranch flavor. Stir dip mix into the sour cream in a medium bowl. Chop green onions very fine and add to mixture. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes to allow flavors to permeate through the dip.
-
Step 2Serve with chips, crackers, vegetables, or whatever you like to dip. Put the dip in a fancy bowl, or if you have an empty Mayfield's container, use that!
