Being this close to the Gulf means shrimp all year long. Plus they are really economical, when your not land-locked. those of us that are really thrifty and enjoy catching our food, go to Clear Lake and catch the shrimp ourselves. Clear Lake is 1/2 salt water and 1/2 fresh water. So you can catch pretty much anything there.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp
    pace salsa, divided
  • 1/2 c
    cocktail sauce
  • 1 (8) oz
    package of cream cheese,softened
  • 18 to 20 small
    cooked plain salsd shrimp
  • 1 can(s)
    sliced ripe olives, drained
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 dash(es)
    shredded jack cheese
  • 1 bunch
    diced green onions
  • ·
    tortilla chips

How to Make Layered Shrimp Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine cream cheese and 3 tablespoons salsa.

    Spread in the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Combine cocktail sauce and remaining salsa. Spread over cream cheese
  3. Place shrimp evenly over the top of the cocktail sauce mixture.
  4. Sprinkle olives over the top of the shrimp.
  5. Combine the cheeses and sprinkle over the olives.

    Top with onions. Chill
  6. Serve with tortilla chips.
