I like to make brownies and while they bake, I whip up a batch of this homemade hot fudge. Then we take a brownie warm from the oven, top with ice cream and pour hot fudge over the whole thing. It is amazing!

How to Make Homemade Hot Fudge


  1. Melt butter in medium saucepan. In separate bowl, mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir into melted butter.
  2. Whisk in milk.
  3. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  4. Serve warm over ice cream.
