  • 4 large
    ripe tomatoes
  • 2
    green chili peppers, seeded, and finely chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    dried mint
  • 1/4 tsp
    each paprika and chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    tomato puree
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • 1/4 bunch
    parsley, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    pomegranate molasses
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Spicy Tomato and Pepper Dip


  1. Chop peeled tomatoes, onion, garlic and parsley very finely -- may pulse in a food processor or chop by hand. Remove seeds and membrane from chilies and chop very finely until they become a textured paste.
  2. Add the olive oil, lemon juice, and pomegranate molasses - mix well. Add in the pepper paste and mix until smooth.
  3. Add this mixture into the salad ingredients. Add salt and remaining spices, including mint, and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour - then serve.
