This salsa has a nice, fresh, savory flavor created to suit our tastes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (14.5 oz. each) stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 - 1 cans (4 oz.) diced chilies
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes (a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies is fine) 10 oz.
  • 1 - 2 - large jalapeno peppers, devined and seeded
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet or green onions with tops
  • 1/2 - 1 - bunch finely chopped cilantro ( to your taste)
  • 2 tablespoons minced or chopped garlic (add to your taste)
  • 1/2 - 1 - fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or salt to your taste)

How To Make savory salsa

  • Step 1
    In a blender, blend undrained tomatoes, undrained Rotel, undrained chilies, jalapenos, lime juice and salt until thickend. Add onions and cilantro. Pulse a couple of more times. Pour into a container with tight fitting lid and chill several hours or overnight so flavors can blend well.
