This is another of my Great-aunt Naomi's recipes. I can remember eating it, but I have never made it myself. I've estimated the prep and cooking times as there were none given. I have also written it as she did; mis-spelled words and all.

Ingredients

12 green peppers
12 red peppers
12 onions-large
3 pts. vinegar
2 cups of sugar
2 t. (tablespoons) salt

How to Make Pepper Relish

Step-by-Step

  • 1Remove the seeds from peppers.
  • 2Peal onions.
  • 3Grind all together, not to finely.
  • 4Pour boiling water over and let stand five min. and drain.
  • 5Cook vinegar, sugar and salt.
  • 6Add peppers and onions, then boilup once.
  • 7Put in hot jars and seal.
  • 810-12 pts.
