When we are at the cottage the men like to BBQ the gals do not mind we just have to make a salad so we get a break from cooking every day..this recipe great to have on hand as the recipe makes enough sauce for 5 pounds ribs, a dozen chicken legs and about 20 hamburgers and keeps well for 2 to 3 weeks refrigerated.

Ingredients

1 c
ketchup
1 c
water
1 Tbsp
dry mustard
1 Tbsp
heaping of hot horseradish
2 Tbsp
rice vinegar
1
large onion {finely diced}
3
large cloves garlic }fine minced}
3 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
4 Tbsp
maple syrup

How to Make MOP SAUCE

Step-by-Step

  • 1Saute onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon of oil until tender..add remaining ingredients and simmer for 25 minutes or until sauce begins ti thicken.
  • 2Cool and refrigerate in closed container..warm the sauce when ready to use,,will keep for 2 to 3 weeks in refrigerator.
