Ingredients For canton hot sauce

  • 1 can
    chopped tomatoes, 27 oz
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar
  • 1
    jalapeno, fresh, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 c
    sugar...can add a bit more if you like
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 c
    vegetable oil
  • dash
    garlic powder to taste

How To Make canton hot sauce

  • 1
    Put half the tomatoes, jalapeno and vegetable oil in the bowl of a food processor and process until it is as chunky or smooth as you like.

    Remove from processor and put in a large bowl. Add all other ingredients and the rest of the tomatoes. Combine thoroughly. Refrigerate.

    You can add other ingredients to your taste, such as onion or cilantro.
