This is my brother-in-law's recipe. He says he never makes it the same, but I love it the way he gave it to me. We love it so much we eat it with nachos, tacos, burritos, even scrambled eggs. Mouth watering good!!

  • Step 1
In a blender add the tomato sauce, tomatillo, onion, diced green chilies, cilantro or parsley, and spices. Pulse or blend on medium until pureed. Pour into large bowl.
  • Step 2
Dice tomatoes pretty small discarding the seeds and add to the salsa base. Add the other can of diced green chilies.
  • Step 3
Chop green onion and add, using both the white and green portions.
  • Step 4
Finely chop the other tomatillo and add to salsa.
  • Step 5
Adjust seasonings as needed if you like it spicier. This is a little more on the mild side.
