Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cracked or coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup coarse salt, kosher or sea
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 3 tablespoons pure chili powder
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir or whisk to mix. Transfer to a large jar or individual containers; cover and store away from heat and light. The rub will keep for several months.
