oink & cluck best dry rub

After many attempts and looking at many recipes, this is the rub we use the most. This recipe makes enough for one rack of spareribs, about 3 pounds. Wrap the ribs or chicken in foil when baking or grilling, otherwise the brown sugar will burn.

Ingredients For oink & cluck best dry rub

  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    smoked paprika, medium hot
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    granulated garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    chili powder, medium hot
  • 1 tsp
    cumin, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper, to taste

How To Make oink & cluck best dry rub

  • 1
    Put all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings to your own personal preference.

    Use immediately, or place in an airtight container to store. This makes enough for one good sized rack of spare ribs.

    To use: rub all surfaces of the ribs or chicken and prepare as you wish.
