Why buy dressing when you can make it at home and have more flavor to with no preservatives?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup miracle whip®
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (substitute 1 small clove garlic, pressed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 4-6 dashes hot sauce, such as cholula®
  • 1 pinch ground himalayan sea salt
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk, or more for consistency

How To Make zippy ranch dressing

  • Step 1
    In a medium mixing bowl, add all the ingredients together; whisk until well blended.
  • Step 2
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  • Step 3
    Note #1: If you want to use fresh garlic, keep in mind that garlic flavor will intensify as it sits.
  • Step 4
    Note #2: Increase or decrease the amount of buttermilk for your purposes. For example if you want to use it as a dip for chicken wings, don't go over a 1/4 cup. If you want to use as a salad dressing, increase volume to your liking.
