I wanted a flavored sour cream or crema type sauce to serve over Sonoran Hot Dogs. This is a combination of several recipes and lightened up a bit by using lower fat mayonnaise. Make sure you mince the cilantro very finely - just the leaves, not stems, so that it will not get stuck in the squirt bottle!

Ingredients

1/4 cup light mayonnaise
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2 tablespoons finely minced cilantro
1 tablespoon lime juice
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon milk, or as needed

How To Make zesty mayo

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together, except milk.

Step 2

Check consistency. If the consistency is too thick, stir in milk a little at a time. I put mine in a squeeze bottle, so I used a little more than a tablespoon of milk.
