I found this on Joy of Kosher blog with Jamie Geller. I didn't want to lose the recipe because I have a ton of basil this year! Plus I have a bunch of walnuts in the freezer!!

PS It's much easier if you have a food processor rather than an immersion blender, but it still works!

walnuts, toasted
2 clove

lemon, juice of
1/2 c
parmesan cheese (optional)

olive oil

How to Make Walnut Pesto - Kosher

Step-by-Step

  • 1Add basil, walnuts, and garlic to bowl and pulse with immersion blender.
  • 2Add lemon juice and Parmesan (if using).
  • 3Stream in olive oil with one hand while blending with the other hand until the pesto is loose enough!
