This is the sauce I serve with my chicken souvlaki. It is also good on just about anything else you want to eat it on!

Ingredients

  • 3 - cucumbers
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 16 ounces plain yogurt
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh chopped garlic, depending on preference
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoons salt, depending on preference
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoons white pepper, depending on preference
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoons white vinegar, depending on preference

How To Make tsatziki sauce

  • Step 1
Peel the cucumbers. Grate using a hand-held grater. Drain well. Use your hands to squeeze out the excess juice. Combine drained cucumbers with sour cream, yogurt, and seasonings. Mix well. Mixture should be thick.
  • Step 2
Refrigerate at least one hour before serving. Adjust seasonings to taste. **Remember** garlic gets more potent the longer it sits, so take that into consideration before adding more.
