I worked at two different BBQ joints while in college and this is a combination of the two plus my own little twists. Can be used with my BBQ rub.

Ingredients For tommy's bbq sauce

  • 2 c
    ketchup
  • 1 c
    dijon mustard
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/4 c
    worchestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    liquid smoke, (pecan or applewood works best)
  • 2 Tbsp
    jack daniels or old whiskey river whiskey
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder with parsley
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    celery salt
  • 1 tsp
    sea salt

How To Make tommy's bbq sauce

  • 1
    Mix everything together and store in a jar in the fridge overnight. Use liberally in the last few minutes of cooking if on the grill, if using in the crock pot or oven put on right away and let it cook. No need to cook this sauce if you let it stand in fridge for at least 12 hours. So now you know my secret recipe!
