olive oil
1 large
yellow onions, diced
carrots, diced
5 oz
pancetta, diced
1 can(s)
italian crushed tomatos (28 oz)
1 tsp
crushed red pepper

How to Make Tomato Sauce


  • 1Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, carrots and pancetta and cook until onions are translucent (about 10 minutes).
  • 2Add tomatoes, generously season with salt and add crushed red pepper. Mix well, lower heat to simmer and cover. Sauce will begin to cook down.
  • 3Continue cooking until sauce gets to your prefered consistancy (Approx 45 min to 1 hour). Stir often so as not to burn on the bottom. Also taste to ensure that sauce has proper seasoning.
  • 4Serve with your favorite pasta and parmigiano reggiano.
