- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large yellow onions, diced
- 3 - carrots, diced
- 5 ounces pancetta, diced
- 1 can italian crushed tomatos (28 oz)
- - salt
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
How To Make tomato sauce
-
Step 1Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, carrots and pancetta and cook until onions are translucent (about 10 minutes).
-
Step 2Add tomatoes, generously season with salt and add crushed red pepper. Mix well, lower heat to simmer and cover. Sauce will begin to cook down.
-
Step 3Continue cooking until sauce gets to your prefered consistancy (Approx 45 min to 1 hour). Stir often so as not to burn on the bottom. Also taste to ensure that sauce has proper seasoning.
