The Best Spaghetti Sauce

Celeste Drake

So I got really picky about m spaghetti sauce as I started getting older. I wouldn't touch canned/jarred sauce for anything and my mom put weird stuff in finally I came up with this recipe of my own...and I hate to toot m own horn, but I honestly have only tasted one other sauce that is better than this.

    minced garlic *
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper *

How to Make The Best Spaghetti Sauce

  1. in a big pot heat enough oil(olive, canola or vegetable) to coat bottom of pan and sauté the onions and bell pepper until translucent. (if going spicy do the yellow chilies with this step also)
  2. add beef and sausage and brown thoroughly, and drain grease off
  3. add cans of stewed tomatoes and all ingredients marked with the * and the tomato paste and combine well
  4. add remaining ingredients and bring to simmer. Cover and allow to simmer for at least 1 hour. (at this point you could transfer it to a crock pot and cover and let go on low all day if you like)
  5. serve with your favorite pasta and bread and you are good to go!
