Sweet and sour dipping sauce to spoon over meats and poultry or for dunking crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed

How To Make tangy mop & sop sauce

  • Step 1
    In med.saucepan, whisk all ingredients together. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove sauce from heat. Taste for seasoning, add more hot pepper sauce, if desired. Serve hot, warm or at room temp. Use immediately or pour into container with tight fitting lid. Cool then cover tightly, refrigerate up to 7 days. Makes about 21/2 cups.
