Found this recipe in a old cookbook. We always make this when we make our Americanized Egg Rolls.

Ingredients For sweet & sour sauce
cornstarch (dissolved in 1/4 cup water)
bell pepper, sliced and diced
pineapple chunks or crushed
How To Make sweet & sour sauce
Combine first four ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Pour water into coffeecup, then stir in cornstarch. Take out about a cup of the sauce from the pan, stir, into cornstarch and water mixture, stirring well. Then stir this back into the pan of sauce to thicken.
Note: recipe can be doubled and tripled. Serve with egg rolls.
