This recipie was given to me by the "chef" in a resturant on Guam, Marianas Islands...well he told me what he put into the sauce and I down sized to make it work for a family. I was working there which is why he gave me the recipe.

  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/3 c
    red wine vinegar
  • dash
    lemon to taste
  • dash
    soy sauce to taste
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    corn starch

How to Make Sweet N Sour Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix water, sugar, ketchup, & vinegar in medium saucepan. Add lemon & soy sauce. Bring to a boil stirring occasionaly.
  2. Mix the 1/2 cup water with the corn starch and add to the boiling mixture. Result will be creamy looking. Stir until your sauce becomes translucent.
