Ingredients
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice reserved from pineapple
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 can (small size) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sweet asian chili sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
How To Make sweet and sour hawaiian bbq sauce

Step 1In a skillet, cook the onion and green pepper in the olive oil until tender- about 5 mins. Add pineapple and let cook on medium-low. In a separate bowl, whisk the beer and pineapple juice together then stir in brown sugar, tomato paste, vinegar, chili sauce and cayenne pepper. Stir into the vegetable/pineapple mixture and let simmer til thickened a bit. Remove from heat, let stand for 5 mins and then process in a food processor or blender til as smooth as u like.
