Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup hot sauce of choice (frank's is good)
- 1 teaspoon each: black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional as needed)
How To Make sticky sauce !
-
Step 1Put brown sugar, hot sauce and spices in sauce pan.
-
Step 2Set on stove-top, bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
-
Step 3The sauce thickens as it cooks, test your sauce by lifting the stirring spoon above the pan and let the sauce drip off.
-
Step 4The sauce is ready when it is thick and forms a thick sticky drip as in this photo.
-
Step 5Place cooked pieces of chicken, chicken strips, chicken meat balls, chicken nuggets, sausages, etc. into hot sauce in in pan. Gently drizzle and fold or stir to completely cover the meat of choice.
-
Step 6Only a thin coating is needed. But if you want it more saucy, add a bit of water to thin out the sauce or add water to "reheat" sauce.
-
Step 7Serve with Blue Cheese dressing or sauce, Green Onions or Celery Sticks!
-
Step 8Optional ***Add lemon or orange zest and juice to change the flavor. ***Add sliced jalapeno peppers or sesame seeds.
