Makes enough sauce for one meatloaf
Ingredients
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 small green bell pepper, minced (or your choice)
- 1 small can mushrooms stems and pieces, drained well
- 1 can 8-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1-2 tablespoon light brown sugar (optional)
How To Make special topping for meatlloaf

Step 1Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, stirring often, until warm.

Step 2If using a loaf pan, add enough sauce to cover the bottom of the pan. Add the meatloaf on top of the sauce and bake according to recipe directions.

Step 3After removing the meatloaf from the oven, pour remaining sauce over the top.
