I made this and my family loved it, now my friends has asked me to do it for them.

Ingredients For scrumptious butterscotch sauce

  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 11/4 c
    light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c
    dairy half & half or milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    light corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make scrumptious butterscotch sauce

    In a 11/2 qt casserole stir together cornstarch and brown sugar. stir in half & half, corn syrup and salt. Microwave at high 31/2 - 41/2 mins, stirring after 2 mins, until it thickened and the sugar is all dissolved.

    Add the vanilla and stir until it is smooth and well blended. Serve warm or cold.
