Ingredients

1 tablespoon cornstarch
11/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup dairy half & half or milk
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make scrumptious butterscotch sauce

Step 1

In a 11/2 qt casserole stir together cornstarch and brown sugar. stir in half & half, corn syrup and salt. Microwave at high 31/2 - 41/2 mins, stirring after 2 mins, until it thickened and the sugar is all dissolved.

Step 2

Add the vanilla and stir until it is smooth and well blended. Serve warm or cold.
