saturday morning syrup
This syrup can be made with any liqueur of your choice! I used cream sherry and it was amazingly good! I got this recipe from a food friend named Reecespieces. Its so easy to make! I served this over strawberry waffles, as you can see in my photo.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup liqueur of your choice-i used cream sherry
How To Make saturday morning syrup

Step 1Heat Sugar and Corn Syrup until sugar is completely dissolved.

Step 2Add liqueur of choice.

Step 3Allow to simmer for at least 3 minutes.

Step 4For a thinner syrup add more liqueur.

Step 5For a thicker syrup add more sugar or cook longer.

Step 6When desired results are reached, cool liquid in pan over an ice bath. Syrup will thicken as it cools.

Step 7You can use any liqueur for this syrup, Irish Cream, Coffee Liqueur, Amaretto, and Hazelnut Liqueur. It goes great on pancakes, waffles and French Toast, or use it to drizzle over cake with a dollop of whipped cream.
