Years ago when we lived on the lake we had friends over for barbecue's/cookouts a lot. We liked to experiment with different sauces. This is one we came up with "back in the day;" and I use it a lot today. In fact, I think I will grill some chicken and/or pork chops tonight and slather this good sauce on it. This is not a sweet sauce -but oh so good! I hope that you like it as well as I do.

How to Make Quick and Delicious Down South Barbecue Sauce
- NOTE: I like the barbecue sauce just like this, but some of my friends like it hot. So, sometimes I either make two separate batches and/or use hot ketchup (Heinz makes a Hot & Spicy ketchup)or you can just use regular ketchup and add Tabasco Sauce (which is what I did "way back when"). I don't even think they had hot and spicy ketchup in the early 1970s. Dat's a long time ago!
