Praline Sauce

A great gift, wonderful over ice cream, and many other desserts. You may stay awake at night thinking of things to top with this wonderful sauce. We have an abundance of pecans and I am always looking for ways to use them.

2 c
cane syrup
1/2 c
boiling water
1/3 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c
coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract


1Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; stirring and allow to boil for about 30 seconds.
2Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Cool, place in jars and refrigerate. Makes 3 generous cups.
