- 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger, minced

How To Make polynesian bbq sauce
-
Step 1In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine all the ingredients and stir until well blended.
-
Step 2Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce to medium-low, and let it simmer for 20 minutes, or until the sauce reduces by 1/3, stirring often.
-
Step 3Turn the heat to high and bring it to a boil. Add corn starch slurry, and stir until the sauce thickens, about 60 seconds.
-
Step 4Remove the saucepan from the heat and bring the sauce to room temperature before storing it in an airtight container. Transfer to the fridge until needed. Yields a generous 2 cups.
