A friend of mine gave me this recipe and it's been a favorite of ours. I make it early in the day in the blender and refrigerate until ready to use so the spices all blend together.

Makes 1-1/2 cups {for 2 pizzas}

  • 14 1/2 oz
    ( or 1-3/4 cups)chopped or diced tomatoes, including juice
  • 6 oz
    tomato paste
  • 2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1-1/2 tsp
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlc,chopped {optional}

How to Make Pizza Sauce


  1. Early in the day {to give the flavors time to blend together}put all together in a blender and mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use. I don't add the garlic, but that's just my taste, if you like garlic you can add.
