Parmesan Cheese Sauce

Good on a lot of things...I had been searching for a good, versatile sauce and couldn't find one...So I made one!

2 Tbsp
butter, unsalted
2 Tbsp
1 c
1% milk
1/2 c
freshly grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 pinch
smoked paprika


1in a skillet melt butter over medium high.
2sprinkle flour while consistently whisking. cook until golden and lumpy (30 second to a minute)
3gradually add in milk (keep whisking) and bring to a boil and cook for 1 - 2 minutes or until thickened.
4Add Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and paprika, whisking still, until smooth.
5Remove from heat and serve immediately.
