Ingredients
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 2.5 cups tomato juice
- 1.5 cups tomato puree
- 1 can tomato paste, Italian
- 4 chili peppers
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 12 green olives, stuffed, sliced
How To Make neopolitan spaghetti sauce

Step 1Brown onions and garlic in oil.

Step 2Add meat and brown slowly.

Step 3Heat tomato juice, puree and paste in a deep kettle; add meat mixture, chili peppers; salt, pepper and sugar.

Step 4Simmer 2-1/2 to 3 hours, until thick.

Step 5Remove chili peppers and add olives.

Step 6Simmer 10 minute longer.

Step 7Serve with spaghetti, topped with grated parmesan cheese.

Step 8Makes sauce for 1 pound spaghetti.
