my mom's chow chow

My mom made this every summer! Everyone loved it. It has taken me 2 years to find her recipe after her passing - but this year I finally found it! I hope you all enjoy it. I made 1/2 the recipe....it makes A LOT!!!! This was my first time canning....I hope mom is watching in heaven and smiling!!

Ingredients
- 2 large - heads of cabbage
- 6 large - onions
- 12 - green peppers
- 6 - banana peppers
- 12 large - green tomatoes
- 12 - ripe tomaotes
- 2 quarts vinegar
- 2 quarts sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 small - hot pepper
How To Make my mom's chow chow

Step 1Chop all ingredients small and put into stock pot. Let them all come to a boil and simmer for 45 minutes or until the vegetables are done.

Step 2While hot - boil your canning jars. Fill hot jars with the hot chow-chow. Let stand and cool. Check to make sure the jars are sealed. Enjoy all winter!!!!
