My Mom would make this at least once a week growing up. She used real tomatoes mostly... but I use cans... shhhh dont tell her!!

1/4 c
ev olive oil
2 (14oz) can(s)
diced tomatoes (i think hunts is best but use what you like)
3-4 clove
garlic chopped or sliced
handful of parsley
basil leaves rolled up and torn
salt & pepper to taste

How to Make My Marinara Sauce


  • 1sautee garlic in oil until it starts to get golden in color (make sure not to burn)
  • 2Add the tomatoes, parsley and basil and bring to a boil (stir often)
  • 3Simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour (the longer the better but not necessary)
