Step 1FIRST POUR THE SUGAR IN A SMALL POT OVER LOW HEAT. AS THE SUGAR BEGINS TO MELT, STIR CONSTANTLY WITH A WHISK.

Step 3ONCE THE BUTTER HAS MELTED TAKE THE POT OFF THE HEAT, SLOWLY POUR IN THE CREAM, AND WHISK AS YOU POUR.

Step 4CONTINUE TO WHISK UNTIL CARAMEL SAUCE IS SMOOTH. LET IT COOL IN THE POT FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN USE ON CAKES OR POUR OVER ICE CREAM.
