My mom used this type of hollandaise for years before I even realized that there was a from-scratch way to do it. It was most often served over broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise, regular or low fat
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make mom's quick hollandaise

  • Step 1
    Over low heat, or in a double boiler, combine milk and mayonnaise, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Serve over broccoli or where ever you'd like to use hollandaise!
