My kids love mac and cheese, broccoli and cheese, nachos... You name it, if it has cheese sauce they love it! This recipe calls for quality ingredients. No shortcuts. The sauce is so creamy and very delicious.

- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup real butter
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup romano cheese, grated
- 1 package sargento's italian 6 cheese blend (optional)
- 1-2 dash garlic powder
- 1-2 dash onion powder
- 1/2 tablespoon basil, fresh, finely chopped (optional)
- - salt and pepper to taste

Step 1NOTE: This recipe calls for quality ingredients. Try to avoid prepackaged shredded cheese. It may require a little work with all of the grating and shredding, but it is well worth it. If you must use prepackaged cheese Sargento's 6 cheese Italian blend is a great brand. You may also head to your local Trader Joe's.

Step 2In a medium saucepan combine whipping cream and butter. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until butter melts.

Step 3Gradually stir in all cheeses and spices.

Step 4Reduce heat to low, and continue to stir just until all cheese is melted

Step 5Serve immediately, as sauce will thicken upon standing.
