How to Make Marinara Sauce
- Peel, seed and chop the tomatoes
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the garlic until golden (about 4 minutes). Press occasionally with the back of a spoon.
- Add the tomatoes and salt.
- Bring to a simmer
- Cook, stirring often, until the sauce is thick. (About 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in the basil leaves and cook for 2 minutes more,
- Serve over pasta or as a dipping sauce for bread or cheese sticks.
